President

Pat is the President of Danrick Builders. His primary responsibilities include working across multi-jurisdictional governmental lines in conjunction with each development team to facilitate entitlement processes . Johnson also plays the lead role in creating relationships with banking interests, outside vendors and potential project partners while coordinating the many entities involved in bringing unique Danrick enterprises to life.

A native of South Dakota , Johnson is a graduate of Arizona State University with a B.S. in accounting. In 1978, he successfully built and directed a respected public accounting firm in Casa Grande that earned widespread recognition for its expertise in assisting small- to medium-sized businesses, as well as its work in tax-related accounting matters.

More recently, Johnson has served in CFO, controller and partnership positions that have placed him in executive leadership roles in commercial construction, residential construction and development, hospitality-industry consulting and large-scale real estate acquisition. In 1982, Johnson teamed with Emmett “Buddy” Jobe to purchase Phoenix International Raceway, serving as a partner in the operation and subsequent growth of the 400-plus-acre motorsports facility that at the time included a road course; one-mile paved oval; Volkswagen test track; and Indy car, NASCAR, USAC and open-competition racing events.

Johnson’s civic leadership contributions in the greater Casa Grande market include service on the boards of directors for the Bank of Casa Grande Valley, Rotary Club, Junior Chamber of Commerce and the Casa Grande Board of Governors.

Member/Manager

Dan is a Member/Manager of Danrick Builders, focusing on financial and legal matters with expertise in angel funding, investment strategies and mergers and acquisitions.

A graduate of North Dakota State University, Erickson has built a 20-year career by advancing ideas into opportunities and turning the end results into success stories. He began his professional life as an 18-year-old professor of computer engineering at NDSU, then became director of web development at AdverWorld, followed by director of OEM sales for Food.com. His next step was a position in business development at Cendant where he played a leading role in merger and acquisition transactions while also serving as an interim CEO, focusing on turning around under-performing businesses within the corporation. Erickson has also held executive-leadership positions at Rent.net and Homestore.com and served on the board of directors at the Marcil Group, a private, self-advised real estate operating company.

As a co-owner of Valadata, a payment-processing company, he led a business enterprise that was sold for $10 million after just two years. Upon the sale of Valadata he founded Element Payment Services and built a company that was processing an estimated $4 billion in annual transaction volume for merchant-members when it was sold. Serving as EPS’s president, CEO and chairman, Erickson was directly responsible for the fundraising success, technology development and the legal, HR and operations matters that positioned the company for its $180-million sale to Vantiv.

Outside the executive suite, Erickson is an active member and competitor in a variety of motorsports series, including the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA), NASA Pro Auto Sports Association and the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA).

Project Manager

Doug is Project Manager for Danrick Builders. He is a fourth-generation builder with over four decades of experience in the construction industry, providing Danrick with unparalleled expertise in working with city, county, state and federal agencies regarding drainage and underground utilities; commercial and residential design and installation; and sustainability maximization.

Nelson has served as land division and Southwest division president for L.B. Nelson Corporation in the San Francisco Bay area and more recently as vice president of construction for a major commercial, apartment and condominium developer in Sonoma County in Northern California.

He also boasts nearly 20 years of success as an Arizona general residence contractor, including interior, exterior, landscaping and staging design-and-build work on multi-million-dollar homes. His engineering proficiency advances innovations in building, road and utility design, as well as facilities orientations and the optimization of elevation changes.

Nelson’s passion is motorsports. He’s been behind the wheel of formula cars for nearly 40 years, beginning with his Pro Formula Ford debut in 1978 through competing in Renault Cup and Formula Mazda. Nelson is also a much sought after test driver and is currently the chief driving instructor for the Arizona Region of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). He proudly puts his racing experience to use in other ways, designing and building a variety of parts and accessories used in motorsports and passenger vehicle applications.

Executive Vice President

Lisa brings 15 years of project and business management and operations expertise to Danrick Builders. Her role includes acting liaison for business functions and finance-related matters while overseeing start-up processes, procedures and operations. She will also focus on cost-effectiveness and efficiencies.

Mitchell’s proven skillsets are well-matched to the advancement of all Danrick projects. During 10 years in the restaurant industry, the Southern California (Rancho Palos Verdes) native was involved in employee training and hiring measures, collaborated with technical departments to develop better operational and performance outcomes and helped build sales while managing a staff of more than 40 team members.

In 2010, Mitchell joined Bank of America, successfully managing a pair of Arizona branches and earning regional “Top Performer” honors in recognition of both sales performance and auditing accuracy. In 2012, she was recruited by Chase Bank to produce similar results. As a branch manager with a team of 13 employees, Mitchell directed a six-month turnaround that resulted in significantly improved performance levels. During her three years at Chase, she competed with more than 200 bank branches across the country, regularly earning top-6 standings and top-10 percent performances among Chase partners.

In addition to her project responsibilities, Lisa Mitchell currently oversees six Danrick-affiliated business ventures located across the western and Midwestern United States.
